Snaf was started by high school students in 2018 and is today a non-profit association.

They work for better sex education and lecture and hold workshops in primary and secondary schools.

During their visits to different schools, they often hear stories from especially young girls who feel compelled to have sex in a way that they are not really comfortable with.

- We hear a lot about pressure and demands, that there is enormous pressure.

15-year-old girls say that they feel compelled to agree to strangulation sex and to be called a whore in bed because they do not want to be perceived as boring, says Linn Englund who works on the board of Snaf.

"When school fails, young people take to porn"

Snaf states that they are not surprised by the high-profile post that is spread on social media, in which a midwife alerts that young girls seek care for pain after what they describe as "hard sex".

- This is what we hear all the time from young people and that is what is their everyday life, which for us is not so strange because we have porn as a first-hand source for sex education.

When school fails at that point, young people resort to porn as a tool instead.

Their view is that both boys and girls form their expectations of what they see in pornography, which sometimes contains elements of violence.

- The violence can be physical but also verbal.

To be involuntarily strangled, beaten in the face or on other parts of the body, pulled in the mouth, we have heard about but also that you are verbally humiliated, says Ebba Bjelke who works on the board of Snaf.

"We need better sex education"

Snaf wants adults, both parents and teachers at school, to talk more with children and young people about porn and consent.

Above all, they demand sexual knowledge that contains more than just information about sexually transmitted diseases and how children are born.

- We would like to tell politicians that we must get better sex education now and there must be a clear way for teachers to do so.

Otherwise, young people will continue to have these harmful sex norms and that must change.
