The appeal says that neither the heirs of Tsoi, nor the musicians of the Kino group, nor the copyright holders gave the creators of the film Tsoi their consent to use the name and image of Viktor Tsoi.

They claim that, despite their letters to the Ministry of Culture, the film was issued a distribution certificate.

They stated that the film "denigrates the good name of Viktor Tsoi and his family."

“It turned out to be a disreputable vulgar show that does not correspond to the actual circumstances, attracting the audience by the well-known name of Viktor Tsoi and cynically monetizing the intrigue of“ disclosing ”something allegedly“ not previously disclosed ”in his fate,” the letter says.

The authors of the letter urged not to wait for the court's decision and "resolve the unacceptable situation" as soon as possible.

Tsoi's heirs asked the president to "urgently organize an inspection" and "take appropriate action."
