Brive-Bayonne, counting for the 1st day of the Top 14, will be able to accommodate up to 9,000 spectators on Sunday (8:45 p.m.), a first in official competition in sport in France since the establishment on July 11 by the government of a maximum gauge of 5,000 people in an enclosure, because of the risk of the spread of the coronavirus.

The Briviste club has received the green light from the prefecture of Corrèze for this overshooting.

Until now, only the friendly match between Perpignan and Colomiers had been played in front of 8,000 spectators on August 21.

The CAB, which received Racing last weekend in front of 5000 people under the eyes of the prefectural authorities, had qualified this meeting "of test in view of the first match of Top 14 and a possible increase of the gauge".

This Monday, the Corrèze club evoked "a very good surprise which rewards the many efforts made over the last several weeks and the exemplary behavior of the Black and White supporters. Friday's match (against Racing 92) was a full-scale test and its success made it possible to prepare for the resumption of the championship in the best conditions ".
