China News Agency, Paris, August 31 (Reporter Li Yang) French Interior Minister Dalmanin warned on August 31 local time that the risk of terrorist attacks in France is still high.

Dalmanin made a public speech and made the above comments when inspecting the French security services that day.

He emphasized that the risk of terrorist attacks is the main threat facing the country.

He promised to make unremitting efforts in combating terrorism.

Dalmanin also revealed that as many as 8,132 people have been registered in the database of suspected Islamic extremists in France. These people are "considered a potential security threat."

Currently, 505 detainees in French prisons have been identified as Islamic terrorists.

French national counter-terrorism prosecutor Ricard revealed on the same day that in the past few months, several terrorist attacks in France have been foiled.

He also believes that the risk of terrorist attacks in France is "still high."

Ricard said that the threat of terrorist attacks stems from areas such as Iraq and Syria, terrorist organizations, and completely isolated personal actions.

He revealed that currently about 250 Frenchmen suspected of participating in activities of extremist organizations are being held in prisons or camps in Iraq and Syria.

Ricard said that among the criminals convicted of terrorism in France, about 40 have served their sentences and were released last year. More people will be released this year and next.

The state will take security measures against these people, through administrative management on the one hand, and judicial means on the other.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the "Charlie Hebdo" terrorist attack.

The 14 suspects indirectly involved in the attack will appear in Paris for trial this week.

The Paris headquarters of Charlie Hebdo was attacked by terrorists on January 7, 2015.

Twelve people were killed in the attack and 11 others were injured.

Although the main suspects directly involved in the "Charlie Hebdo" terrorist attack have been killed, the French prosecutors and lawyers for the victims agree that it is necessary to try the suspects who indirectly participated in the attack.

Ricard said that the 14 suspects to be tried participated in the preparations for the attack and provided financial, weapons and shelter support.
