Moustapha Adib was Lebanese Ambassador to Germany. He obtained the greatest number of votes during parliamentary consultations led by the head of state Michel Aoun. 

The Lebanese Ambassador to Germany, Moustapha Adib, was appointed Prime Minister after obtaining the most votes in parliamentary consultations led by the head of state Michel Aoun, the Lebanese presidency announced on Monday.

The appointment of Moustapha Adib, 48, came a few hours before the arrival in Lebanon of French President Emmanuel Macron who urged the Lebanese leaders to quickly form a "mission government" in charge of pulling the country out of the economic crisis and Politics.
