Norrlandsoperan is preparing as best it can for the premiere of Macbeth, which premieres in early October.

A soloist and three people in the choir have tested positive for covid-19.

The victims are said to have mild symptoms and have not been to the Norrland Opera since 21 August.

- Last week we found out that a person had been confirmed that he has covid-19 and it was in the infection tracking that the other three cases were discovered, says Petra Kanga's communications and sales manager.

Sets rep

According to her, everyone in the organization has now been informed that there is an infection within the opera.

To reduce the risk of infection spreading, mouth guards are used during the rehearsals.

Tomorrow's planned rehearsal is canceled.

Thursday's rehearsal may also be canceled.

- This gives us a few more days to wait for test results.

Then we will see how we do, says Petra Kangas.

Macbeth that you are rehearsing for is known for being quite unlucky ...?

- No, do not stop, say it !, says Petra Kangas and continues:

- It is clear that we had hoped to prove that it is just a myth and we hope in the future to be able to do so as well.
