August 31, 2020 - British anti-terrorism police have announced that they have arrested two people, a
48-year-old Italian citizen and a 34-year-old Kuwaiti, upon their arrival at London's Stansted airport.

The two were arrested shortly after 7pm yesterday, both were on board a plane from Vienna. The Guardian writes it.

According to the BBC, the plane had been intercepted by RAF Typhoon fighters following reports of alleged security threats on board.

The two suspects arrested were traveling on board a Ryanair flight. "In line with the procedures, the captain informed the UK authorities and continued the flight to London Stansted, where the
aircraft landed normally and stopped in an isolated area where the passengers got off safely," he said. a company spokesperson announced.

Passengers waiting to board for Vienna were transferred to another aircraft to minimize the delay of their flight. Now the matter is of interest to the local police. "

A RAF spokesperson confirmed the dispatch of two Typhoon fighters from Coningsby to intercept the civilian plane escorted to Stansted. The two arrested people will now be heard by men from British special forces. Eastern Region Special Operations Unit.
