Dubai Police has completed the initiative to discount traffic violations, which it implemented during the past year, which has been extended for several months since the beginning of this year, and announced the return of the usual procedures for paying traffic violations without any deductions, as part of its response to the inquiries of its followers on social media.

The initiative included requirements that allowed drivers who had traffic violations against them not to pay those violations, provided that they adhere to the Traffic and Traffic Law and not commit any violation, so that they benefit from a 100% discount, if the driver committed for 12 months, and 75% if he did not commit violations for a period of nine months, And 50% for six months commitment, and 25% for three months.

The number of beneficiaries of the initiative reached 557,430 drivers, or 114,769 men and 444,661 women, pointing out that the value of the violations that were canceled from the registry of the beneficiaries amounted to 546 million 970 thousand and 930 dirhams.

The most prominent results of the "Traffic Violations Settlement" initiative included the contribution to reducing deaths resulting from traffic accidents by 16%, and severe injuries by 38%, and the cost of the accidents that were avoided was estimated at 610 million and 427 thousand dirhams.
