The first Tibet work forum
The first Tibet Work Symposium held in March 1980 proposed to develop Tibet's economy. This meeting enabled Tibet to shift the focus of its work and opened a historic turning point in Tibet's development.
The Second Tibet Work Forum
The second Tibet Work Symposium held from February to March 1984 identified 43 aid projects for Tibet. This symposium marked the beginning of a nationwide aid to Tibet.
The Third Tibet Work Forum
The Third Tibet Work Symposium held in July 1994 put forward for the first time "one center, two major events, and three guarantees". The central government departments and 15 provinces and cities were responsible for providing assistance to Tibet, slicing and rotating regularly. "The important decision has created a new situation in which the whole country supports Tibet.
The 4th Tibet Work Forum
The Fourth Tibet Work Symposium held in June 2001 established two changes for the development of Tibet: the economic development from accelerated to leapfrog development, and social stability from local stability to long-term stability.
The Fifth Tibet Work Forum
The Fifth Tibet Work Forum held in January 2010 required the four provinces of Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu, and Qinghai to effectively put Tibet-related work in their provinces on the agenda and increase policy support.

★ Focus on improving the development level of agriculture and animal husbandry, cultivate advantageous characteristic industries, strengthen infrastructure construction, protect the plateau ecological environment, and promote the construction of advanced socialist culture.
The Sixth Tibet Work Forum
In August 2015, the Central Committee held the Sixth Tibet Work Symposium. General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the party’s "six musts" in governing Tibet, as well as "ruling Tibet according to law, enriching the people and rebuilding Tibet, building Tibet for a long time, uniting the people, and consolidating "Basic" and other important principles of Tibet work.
