Dubai Health launches the “School Hotline” service

Today, the Dubai Health Authority launched a free hotline service for schools (800588) with the aim of achieving the maximum response to the questions and inquiries of parents, students, and educational and administrative staff in all private schools in Dubai related to Covid-19 virus, in conjunction with the start of the new academic year and the return of students to Their schools.

The launch of this service is part of the authority’s initiatives and its continuous efforts to enhance effective communication channels with members of society, and directing them to obtain correct information from the authority as a reliable and approved reference to obtain all information related to the causes, symptoms and methods of preventing the emerging corona virus, and preventive and precautionary measures to avoid infection with the disease, and correct dealing with Cases that have been confirmed to be infected with the virus or similar cases, and the precautionary measures applied in private schools in Dubai, in accordance with the directives issued by the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management and in coordination with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai.

Fatima Al-Khaja, Director of the Customer Happiness Department at the Dubai Health Authority, said that the new service will actively contribute to enhancing community awareness to deal with the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through, like other countries in the world, and in a way that contributes to achieving a safe return for students to attend their schools.
She indicated the great interest that the authority attaches to answering all the questions and inquiries received by it through the hotline for schools in accordance with the latest standards and quality controls in this field to provide correct and accurate information to its applicants about the emerging Covid-19 virus, referring to the efforts made by the authority to provide this service throughout Time, working to standardize information through a unified database, and training customer service personnel to provide the new service professionally and with high efficiency.

Al Khaja said that the hotline received more than 700 phone calls yesterday from students, educational and administrative staff in private schools in Dubai, parents and community members in general, which reflects community awareness and its eagerness to access the correct information from its official source.  
As part of its continuous efforts to achieve safe return to schools, the Dubai Health Authority organized a workshop last week attended by 400 medical and administrative staff, which focused on standards for school clinics in schools and academic facilities, and required schools to appoint a health and safety employee, to follow up and monitor compliance with health procedures, and to train Students and school staff on them.

It also focused on school health standards and protocols and dealing with the health challenges of the "Covid-19" pandemic, the precautionary and preventive measures that must be followed towards infectious diseases in general, and the emphasis on the safety and quality of health care provided in these facilities, which will be positively reflected in the lifestyles and educational performance of students.
