This Sunday, a motorist is still wanted by the Charente gendarmerie. He is suspected of having run over and killed a young 29-year-old cyclist on Friday evening on the RD8 in Condac. A call for witnesses was launched according to Sud Ouest.
Around 9 p.m., this driver first brushed against a first cyclist, the friend of the 18-year-old victim, before hitting it. He immediately fled. It was another motorist who notified the emergency services. The victim from Ile de France could not be resuscitated while his friend was taken care of in shock.
The latter has not yet been heard by the police. Anyone who can provide information to the investigation in order to determine the circumstances of the accident and find the fleeing motorist is requested to contact the Ruffec gendarmerie on 05 45 31 00 46.
