At the end of 2017, a law was introduced stating that it is forbidden to distribute material where a person is in a vulnerable situation.

- The most common is that it is a girl who is lightly undressed perhaps and then it is posted on social media and then there may be some pressure on this girl, Henrik Linbacker explains.

Not aware of the consequences

Young people that SVT Nyheter spoke to say that they do not always think about what pictures they share. A dying boy was recently filmed in Eslöv and pictures were spread on social media.

- I do not understand it, I think it is very distasteful, says Henrik Linbacker when he comments on the incident in Eslöv.

Would young people need to become more aware?

- Yes absolutely. You should be more aware of what you are allowed to do and not do. I think there are shortcomings there, he says.

The number of suspects - constantly increasing

Since 2014, there has been a law called offensive photography, where it is enough to take an offensive picture of someone involuntarily without spreading it. The number of people suspected of these crimes has more than quintupled from 2014 to 2019.

- These laws are relatively new and it may also be important because it has increased.

In the clip, you hear how some young people reason when they share clips on social media.
