African American superstar Chadwick Bosman died at the age of 42 after a 4-year struggle with colon cancer.

Bosman is best known for performing the superhero character "Black Panther" in the Marvel movie series, where he performed the character Techala, the king of the fictional African country and Canada, and he is the same superhero who protects his country and hides the secrets of its scientific progress from the world.

Bosman's official Twitter account published a statement confirming the death of the movie star, which read: "It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of Chadwick Bosman."

The statement - written by his agent Nikki Firavant - added that Bosman had diagnosed stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, and kept wrestling with him for 4 years until he reached the fourth stage. He indicated that he had died in his home, next to his wife and family.

Bosman is an American actor, writer, and producer, born in 1977, best known for his realistic roles such as Jackie Robinson in 2013's movie 42, and James Brown's role in the 2014 movie "Bring Your Balance" back.
