A man and a woman died in the fire of their building, Friday evening in Le Havre, announced the firefighters of Seine-Maritime, this Saturday.
Fifty-two firefighters and 26 devices were dispatched this Friday around 8 p.m. to a half-timbered building, a former hotel rehabilitated into apartments, rue Aristide Briand in Le Havre, where the fire broke out.
An open investigation
Two police officers, a resident and a firefighter were slightly injured during the intervention which continued until Saturday morning.
A man and a woman, of undetermined age, were found dead in the attic of the building. The fire was extinguished at 9:30 p.m. using three fire hoses. Five residents must be relocated. A judicial inquiry has been opened to determine the causes of the fire.
