Yesterday, the major mosques in Egypt received worshipers to perform Friday prayers, after the Council of Ministers decided to reopen mosques for Friday prayers, about five months after the mosques were closed due to the Corona virus on March 21.

The Minister of Endowments, Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumaa, delivered the Friday sermon on Egyptian TV and Radio, under the title "Hope is Life", optimistic about the return of Friday prayers.

And Jumah had stressed, when announcing the return of Friday prayers in mosques on the 19 of this month, the need to adhere to the procedures of spacing, wearing the muzzle, bringing the personal prayer room, opening the mosques 10 minutes before the prayer, and closing them immediately after the end of the prayer, and limiting them to the available places according to an investigation Social distancing measures only, and the Friday sermon will be within 10 minutes.

According to a statement by the ministry, the measures also include "not opening toilets, places of events, or visiting shrines, not allowing any social events such as weddings, funerals or the like, as well as not allowing funeral prayers in the mosque."

He continued, "In the event of any violation, decisive legal measures will be taken against the violator, or the violators, with the Friday not being held in the mosque in which the violation occurs again."

Endowments directorates in all governorates ended sterilization and cleaning work for major mosques and the university, which started Monday until yesterday.

And the Egyptian government had taken, in the wake of the outbreak of the Corona virus last March, decisions to combat the virus, including the closure of places of worship.
