"Certain improvements" in the state of health of the main Russian opponent Alexeï Navalny were announced on Friday August 28 by the Berlin hospital, where he has been receiving treatment since he suffered poisoning in Russia.
"There were some improvements in symptoms caused by ingestion" of a substance from the group of cholinesterase inhibitors, which caused the poisoning, said the establishment, Charité Hospital, in a press release, specifying that he was however still immersed in an artificial coma and on respiratory assistance.
"Doctors avoid any prognosis"
For her part, Alexeï Navalny's spokesperson, Kira Yarmyche, confirmed in a tweet that there was "currently no serious threat to his life". "Nevertheless, the doctors are always careful not to make any prognosis", she added.

Monday, two days after the emergency hospitalization of Alexeï Navalny in Germany, the doctors of Charité announced that they had diagnosed traces of poisoning with a substance from the group of cholinesterase inhibitors, to which belong formidable chemical weapons called " innervating agents ". Among them, the famous sarin, the VX or even the Russian Novichok, used to poison the ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in 2018 in England.
The Russian doctors who treated Alexeï Navalny during his hospitalization in Siberia have assured themselves that they did not find such a substance in the opponent's body during their tests.
Main opponent of the power of President Vladimir Putin, author of publications denouncing the corruption of Russian elites which are widely shared on social networks, Alexeï Navalny was transferred Saturday from Siberia to Berlin.
Berlin, Brussels, Paris, but also Washington have called for an investigation into this poisoning. The Quai d'Orsay in particular ordered, Tuesday, the Russian authorities to investigate the circumstances of this poisoning, qualified as a "criminal act", while the American embassy in Moscow has, it, called for an "immediate investigation".
