"  Keep me in this house  " is the headline of the New York Post , with in the background the White House in front of which Donald Trump gave the speech yesterday in which he accepted to be the candidate of the Republican Party for the presidential election of November 3.

An " inflammatory  " speech  , remarks, admiringly, the editorialist of the very Republican newspaper who notes that, precisely, "  the Republicans spent the greater part of the first three evenings of the convention to present softer and nicer aspects of Donald Trump, but it's the president who speaks last, and this Thursday, he was in a fighting mood  . According to the columnist, the president would have slapped his opponent Joe Biden so much that if it had been boxing, the referee would have taken pity and stopped the match.

" A tidal wave of lies "

Perhaps and above all because Donald Trump delivered only low, non-regulatory blows, seems to be saying the vast majority of the American press: "  Trump's speech was a tidal wave of lies and rewriting of history,  ”chokes the Washington Post . In addition, indignant The New York Times , "  some of its assertions had already been discredited in the past  ", for example last week, during their convention, the Democrats never refused to say "  under the authority of God  ”during the pledge of allegiance.

The two newspapers verified many of the arguments made within the president's 70-minute speech. Donald Trump "  has often exaggerated his own actions and slipped on his failures while painting an inaccurate portrait of Joe Biden and the Democrats  ", summarizes the New York Times , which then notes, ruthlessly, "  exaggerated  ", "  misleading  " or "  false  ”Under each statement of the presidential candidate. “  I don't like Democrats or Joe Biden very much,  ” says a USA Today columnist , “  and I certainly don't like leftists or anarchists, so there was a lot in Trump's speech that I wanted love (…), but you can't believe what he says : the slightest affirmation is a lie.  "And to develop with rage:"  On the Covid-19 Trump says ' we have taken up the challenge ', I can give you 180,000 reasons [the number of sick people in the country] which say that is a lie.  "

Problematic sanitary conditions

Back to school much discussed in Venezuela
