Forest fire services extinguished 19 wildfires in Russia per day

"According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day on 28.08.2020, 19 forest fires were liquidated in Russia on an area of ​​3,992 hectares," the ministry said in a statement.

By the end of the day, 80 forest fires were active in Russia, which were actively extinguished. 

Earlier it was reported that the northern aviation center Avialesokhrana is planned to be created in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in order to fight fires in the Arctic zone.
