In the coming academic year, all parent-teacher meetings will be held in a remote format. This was stated by the head of the supervision of hygiene of children and adolescents of the Rospotrebnadzor Galina Yanovskaya.

“All the same, schools this year will work, let's say, in a somewhat closed mode, that is, they will not be available to parents, and parents will go there only if necessary. All meetings are moving online and in remote forums, ”Yanovskaya said. RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

She also said that all schools have reported their readiness to start school.

“We isolate classes from each other, draw up and require flexible schedules for each class and our attendance at school,” added a representative of Rospotrebnadzor.

As the chairman of the National Parents' Committee, a member of the Public Chamber of Russia, Irina Volynets, told RT, even more parents can take part in the remote format than usual.

“Sometimes only one parent comes to the meeting, and both parents, grandparents, can participate in a remote format, which is important when raising a child, so that all family members are aware of what is happening ... Most parents took this news with pleasure. It is clear that you want to get to know the teacher personally, to see him in the eye, if the child moves to the fifth grade, when the class teacher changes. But this can be done when the child is taken to school, and no one canceled personal meetings between teachers and parents in case urgent questions arise, "said the interlocutor of RT.

17 million schoolchildren in the academic year 2020-2021

According to Tamara Romanova, Director of the Department of Administration and Control of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, about 17 million people will go to Russian schools, including 1.9 million first graders.

“Schools will organize individual start and end times for classes, meals in the canteen at different times. Each class will have its own changes, that is, a single call will be canceled, additional entrances to buildings will be opened, if possible we will try to assign a separate office to the class, but each region has its own characteristics, ”she said.

As noted earlier, on the Day of Knowledge, traditional rulers will be held in Russian schools. However, their format will depend on the situation with coronavirus infection in each subject of the Russian Federation. In particular, in Moscow, line-ups are organized only for first-graders.

In turn, the chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation, Anna Popova, said that it was "a definite challenge" to start the school year in full-time in all educational institutions, but this "is due to much more knowledge about the virus, its epidemiology, and measures of its prevention."

“One of the conditions for the beginning of the school year (in universities. - RT ) is the wearing of masks for everyone. Students are the most active part of the population of our country in terms of interaction and the number of contacts, the most active. And this condition, as inevitable, we set at the first stage, "- explained the head of Rospotrebnadzor at a meeting of the Council of Rectors of Medical Universities.

According to a study by the Rabota.ru service, 63% of Russians are positive about the return of their children to school. At the same time, 10% have a negative opinion on this matter.

Traditional start of the school year

Earlier, State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Vasily Vlasov sent an appeal to the head of the Ministry of Education Sergei Kravtsov with an appeal to postpone the beginning of the school year in preschool, primary, basic and secondary vocational education institutions until October 1, in order to "prevent a new outbreak" of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.

The Ministry of Education indicated that the academic year will begin "traditionally on September 1 in all regions, while maintaining the calendar curriculum and a single educational space." The department noted that the relevant departments have given all the necessary instructions to the regions so that the learning process proceeds "with full protection of the health of both students and teachers, and everyone who is associated with this process."

At the same time, the State Duma Health Committee emphasized that it is necessary to "learn to live next to the virus, observing precautions," while the Public Chamber stated that parents, like the students themselves, want to return to full-time education at school.
