- My principal is convinced that it is a case of murder, says Elisabeth Aronsson who is the mother's representative.

The woman was killed by a shot to the head, but the district court did not consider it proven that the shot was intentionally fired. As an accident could not be ruled out, the man was acquitted of the murder charge.

Claims that the man is convicted of murder

The woman's mother has, with the help of her representative, pursued the matter to the Court of Appeal. On Thursday, both the defense attorney and the mother's representative held their closing argument.

- I demand that the man be convicted of murder and not grossly causing another person's death, ultimately to life but in any case a much longer prison sentence, says Elisabeth Aronsson.

In the district court, the man was sentenced to six years and four months in prison. The defense lawyer considers it proven that this was an accident and does not believe that the Court of Appeal will make a different assessment than the district court. He therefore believes that the district court's judgment should stand.

Believes in another verdict in the Court of Appeal

- The defense does its job when they say so, but I mean that there may be a different outcome in this trial, says Elisabeth Aronsson.

The representative prints, among other things, on the overall picture of how the woman has been exposed and threatened by the man. That she fled and lived protected from him and when she returned to him was killed.

- In addition, we press that the blood picture does not match what the suspect says. We mean that he was not consistent in his story.

The Court of Appeal's ruling comes on 10 September.
