“We have warned the Russians that their behavior is dangerous and unacceptable. We look forward to a return to a conventional and professional (mechanism) for conflict prevention in Syria and reserve the right to vigorously defend our troops whenever their security is compromised, ”the statement said.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the US military had made an attempt to block a Russian patrol in Syria.
Later, the head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria, Colonel Alexei Posunko, told the details of the incident with an attempt by the American military to block the Russian patrol in Syria.
Posunko said that the Russian side agreed with the United States on the route and the composition of the Russian patrol in Syria a day before the incident.
According to the head of the CPVS, the Russian patrol took all possible measures to prevent the incident and further fulfill the task.
