It was in October last year that 24-year-old Jennie was shot to death in the bedroom by her boyfriend of the same age. Up close, she was hit by a gunshot in the head. A tragic accident meant the boyfriend.

- This is a terrible event. My client and not just the girl's family also think so, says Fredrik Liljeblad, who is defending his boyfriend in the Court of Appeal.

The mother appealed

Kalmar District Court could not, without reasonable doubt, rule out that the incident was an accident, and sentenced the boyfriend for grossly causing another person's death to six years and four months in prison. The boyfriend was thus acquitted of murder.

After the verdict in the district court, Jennie's mother appealed to the Court of Appeal and on Thursday the negotiations in Göta Court of Appeal will end.
