The super-powerful hurricane'Laura' landed in the southern US state of Louisiana early on the 27th in local time.

According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), when Laura landed on the mainland of the United States through the Gulf of Mexico, it was accompanied by a strong wind of 240 km/h.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) of the United States explained that it was a stronger wind than Hurricane Katrina, which hit the southern United States in 2005.

Lora, which used to be a 4th-class hurricane, was downgraded to 2nd class after landing, but it is expected to be severely damaged along the path as it maintains a strong wind of 170 km/h.

The highways connecting Louisiana and neighboring states have been shut down in large part due to the hurricane.

Disaster authorities have issued evacuation orders for residents of Texas and Louisiana, but some have refused to evacuate and are said to remain in their residences.

Earlier, President Donald Trump tweeted that he would listen to the warnings of the authorities.
