On Wednesday evening, the municipal council in Perstorp agreed to join as a partner in Ängelholm airport, together with six other municipalities in northwestern Skåne.

- In this way, we secure air traffic for this part of Skåne, says Håkan Abrahamsson (M), chairman of the municipal council.

Earlier this week, Klippan, Ängelholm and Helsingborg agreed to become co-owners of the airport.

- It is positive from different aspects - for business and for ambulance transport for example. In these times, it is of the utmost importance that the municipalities do what we can to save an airport that already exists, says Håkan Abrahamsson.

Decisions now remain on the agreement in three municipalities - Bjuv, Båstad and Höganäs.
