The perpetrator of the mosque massacre, which killed 51 people, was sentenced today, Thursday, to a life imprisonment without parole by a New Zealand court after he shot worshipers in 2019 in Christchurch.

This is the first time that such a ruling has been issued in the country. The perpetrator of the massacre, Brenton Tarrant, a 29-year-old Australian, has confessed to a total of 51 counts of murder, 40 counts of attempted murder and one count of committing a terrorist act.

The crime, which the perpetrator posted live on Facebook, is the deadliest shooting incident in New Zealand history.

Cameron Mander, a Christchurch high court judge, will not be released for his entire life.
