The Fund stated that citizenship now constitutes 45% of the Emirati workforce in the emirate, after it did not exceed 11% in 2000, the year in which the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund was established, while the total of female retirees in the emirate reached 2599, which represents 21% of the total Retirees registered with the Fund, pointing out that the average retirement age for women is 46 years, compared to 55 years, the average retirement age for men.

The fund stated that the most important reasons for retirement for female citizens falls under the name of "a married woman with children." Law No. 2 of 2000 in the matter of civil retirement pensions and benefits for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi allows her to retire after 15 years of service, or 10 years if she reaches the age of 50, considering The increasing number of working women is a reflection of the path of empowering Emirati women and their participation in the development process.

He mentioned that the conditions for entitlement to the retirement pension for a woman, in the event that her service ends, is that she must complete 25 years of service, and reach the age of 55 years, provided that she has 10 years of service as a minimum, and that the woman (married, divorced or widowed), and she has at least A son, and the period of service is 15 years or 10 years if she has reached the age of 50, while the conditions for entitlement to the retirement pension for a man are to complete 25 years of service and reach the age of 60, provided that he has 10 years of service as a minimum.

The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund, Khalaf Abdullah Rahma Al Hammadi, confirmed that the leadership's efforts were the main reason for the empowerment of Emirati women in the labor market and achieving equality between them and men in all fields, pointing out that the statistics related to citizens registered in the Abu Dhabi pension system It reflects a remarkable development in the number of working women who join the emirate’s labor market annually, which confirms the great contribution of women in all work sectors.

Al Hammadi said that the continuous increase in the number of female citizens in the labor market is evidence of the quality, proportionality and components of the work environment in the emirate with its requirements and needs, in a way that helps them combine their work tasks with their family responsibilities.

The ministry stated that the percentage of female citizens working in private sector institutions and companies registered with the ministry amounted to 57.3% of the total national workforce working in the sector until the end of last year, noting that most of the female citizens work in vital strategic activities, including financial intermediation, education, business services and health. The Ministry stated that about 33% of female citizens working in the private sector work in the professions of higher skill levels, stressing the commitment to continue implementing its programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the participation of Emirati women in the private sector.
