Every day of the week, Jérôme Lacroix brings you the best of initiatives that are changing the world, on the web and in the regions! This Thursday, Léa Seguin decided to act for the environment by recycling her plastic waste herself. She has invested in three machines to recycle the plastic she uses for decoration.

These good ideas which flourish, every day, everywhere in France. Every morning we tell you these stories, these projects, these initiatives of individuals or companies who try to move society forward. It's with Jérôme Lacroix and this Thursday morning, a funny mirror effect.

We often talk about ecology, the environment or recycling. We are sensitive to it, the vast majority of us talk about it, and we say to ourselves that we must act. A few months ago, Léa Séguin, a young 22-year-old Briochine, was like many of us, ecology she talked about but, by her own admission: "She didn't act much!"

Has she decided to take concrete action?

It has chosen to tackle plastic and more specifically the recycling of plastic which is insufficient in France. Barely a quarter of household packaging is recycled. Léa Séguin has decided to recycle plastic waste herself at home.

Does she do this on her own, in her living room?

At home ! On the Internet, she found and ordered three machines, she tells the newspaper Le Télégramme. One for crushing plastic, one for melting it and an injection press for his creations. Because that's what she does, she transforms her plastic waste into decorative objects. Small plastic bricks made from plugs that could, she says, serve as street furniture. She is also working on recycled plastic soap dishes. The project has become so important that it is now called "Hello Waste", she hopes soon to set up her business under this name. Project which has already received aid from the Brittany region but which also earned Léa Séguin a nomination for the "Trophies for women in the economy" category "Project leader". Verdict on September 24.
