The Washington Post reported that a crowd of 1,000 will be present at President Trump's acceptance speech at the White House lawn South Lawn on the night of the 27th local time as the final turn of the US Republican National Convention.

The newspaper reported, citing a person familiar with the preparations for the Republican National Convention.

That's a lot more than the 70 attendees who were invited to a support speech at Mrs. Melania's White House Rose Garden the day before.

It is not yet known in detail what quarantine measures the White House will take to ensure the safety of attendees in the event of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This large-scale offline event is in contrast to the acceptance speech of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, which took place a week ago.

On the first day of the National Convention on the 24th, President Trump made a surprise appearance at the venue in Charlotte, North Carolina, and made a surprise speech.
