The Iraqi "Hezbollah" brigades on Wednesday threatened to target what it described as subjects and followers of America, Israel and Saudi Arabia in the country.

The security official in the Brigades, Abu Ali Al-Askari, said in a tweet on his Twitter account, "so that the American, Israeli and Saudi rulers and their associates know that Hezbollah and the allied brigades will fight you in all fields." Al-Askari stressed that those he described as the forces of the resistance axis are united and their goal is one, and they will defeat its enemies.

The frequency of attacks on American sites in Iraq has increased since the assassination of the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Authority, in an American air strike near Baghdad airport on January 3.

Since last July, unknown assailants began targeting convoys of trucks carrying supplies for the US-led international coalition with improvised explosive devices and armed attacks.

Washington accuses armed Iraqi factions linked to Iran, including the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, of being behind the attacks targeting its embassy and military bases, in which American soldiers are deployed in Iraq from time to time.

There are about 5 thousand American soldiers and 2,500 others from the international coalition in Iraq.
