The employee's legs got stuck when he stepped through cover plates which, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office, were in poor condition. The bone was broken off and the skin, flesh and muscles were torn off.

The National Unit for Environmental and Work Environment Objectives at the Public Prosecutor's Office in Jönköping, which has investigated the incident, believes that representatives of the business activities intentionally or through negligence did not do what is necessary to prevent ill health or accidents. The risk assessment is considered outdated, the cover plates are in poor condition, and in addition the employee had not received sufficient training and information about the risks of the work.

Therefore, a fine of SEK 300,000 is imposed.
