According to reports, a group of protesters confronted the police inside an armored vehicle outside a gas station a few blocks from the main protest. The video showed that suddenly, a young white man among the protesters, carrying an AR-15 rifle, ran out of the crowd of protesters, lay on the ground, and shot multiple bullets at the crowd.
According to Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth in the early morning of the 26th, a total of 3 people were shot and 1 of them died. The city’s police department and the FBI are investigating the shooting. He did not provide more information about the victim or the shooter.
