Hearings are scheduled for September 29 - the day the Russian citizen was sentenced.

“Based on the evidence presented in the petition, the court must terminate the consideration of the case, recognizing the arguments of the defense, or start a new process,” RIA Novosti said.

According to the defense, the court was unable to provide direct evidence of Nikulin's involvement in the committed cybercrimes.

On July 11, Russian citizen Yevgeny Nikulin was found guilty of cybercrimes by a jury at a trial in the United States.

Evgeny Nikulin was arrested by the Czech police at the request of the FBI in October 2016. He is accused of illegally gaining access to data from the social network LinkedIn and the servers Dropbox and Formspring.
