Last week, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny collapsed during a flight in Russia, something his staff believes was due to someone poisoning his tea.

This weekend, Navalny was transferred from Omsk to a hospital in Berlin, Germany, where he is now being cared for.

According to a press release from the German doctors, there are signs that he has ingested some kind of poison.

Kremlin: Why so urgent?

Despite the message from the German doctors, the Russian government does not intend to start an investigation into Navalny's case, Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, announced on Tuesday.

This is because it is not entirely certain that he has been poisoned yet.

At the same time, Dmitry Peskov criticized the German doctors for mentioning poisoning in his press release.

- The medical analysis of our doctors and the Germans are completely matched, but the conclusions differ. We do not understand why our German colleagues are in such a hurry. The subject has not yet been determined, says Dmitry Peskov at a press conference, according to AFP.
