"To overcome the health crisis, we must learn to live with the virus," Emmanuel Macron added on Tuesday. Fight against the coronavirus, economic recovery, return to school, ecology ... 20 Minutes takes stock of the sites which await the majority.

Controlling the coronavirus epidemic

Emmanuel Macron met at the Elysee Palace for about three hours on Tuesday, a defense council on the resumption of the Covid-19 epidemic. With Jean Castex and a good part of the government, they discussed the different health protocols, while the wearing of a mask will be compulsory in companies, colleges and high schools from September 1. “What we want to avoid is total re-containment. Psychologically, economically, I am not sure that the French can relive it, assures the member of Var Valérie Gomez-Bassac, spokesperson for the LREM group. But the virus is still there and, to avoid localized reconfigurations, teleworking must be privileged in companies and the wearing of the general mask. "

The question of gauges in sporting or cultural events, as well as that of border controls will also be discussed Wednesday in the Council of Ministers. Jean Castex could provide more details on new measures intended to stem the resumption of the epidemic the same morning on France inter, then Thursday during a press conference devoted to the management of the health crisis.

Organize the delicate back to school

"There will be contaminations at school" but "we will manage them", warned the President of the Scientific Council, Jean-François Delfraissy on Monday. One week before the start of the school year, the health protocol in schools, colleges and high schools is a hot issue. The first primary school union, the Snuipp-FSU, asked on Tuesday that the device be strengthened in order to ensure a "serene return".

At the same time, members of the opposition have again called for free distributions of masks in schools by the state. "We need masks available in schools and help the most precarious families, but I do not believe that free distribution to all is necessary", responds Valérie Gomez-Bassac, on the same line of Jean-Michel Blanquer. "In addition," she continues, "the start of the June school year allowed teachers to organize themselves, while respecting health measures, and that went rather well. The Minister of Education will unveil the last elements of this new school year on Wednesday at a press conference, while some communities have announced the distribution of free masks for students.

Economic recovery: limit breakage

We should initially know more this Tuesday on the plan of 100 billion euros to revive the French economy, hit hard by the coronavirus and containment. But in order to "do things in the right order", the announcements were finally postponed by one week, to better focus on the management of the epidemic one week before the start of the school year. “The implementation schedule remains the same, however,” says Valérie Gomez-Bassac. "The wait is high, because we are going to have a high unemployment rate, business closures ... Measures have already been put in place during the health crisis, but we must go further. "

The relaunch, that ?!
Aid paid to companies without counterpart, no contribution of capital and higher incomes, no support for purchasing power and debt repayment by "controlling public spending".

The recovery plan, criticized by the opposition, should be structured around four main components: 40 billion in investments for reindustrialisation in certain key sectors, around 30 billion in ecological transition (energy renovation, transport and energy), 20 billion for skills and in particular the entry of young people into the labor market, and around 20 billion for measures to support the most disadvantaged and purchasing power.

"The first text studied in committee on September 9 will concern the strengthening of inclusion in employment with experimental measures to fight against long-term unemployment and help the most vulnerable," says Didier Baichère. Beyond the recovery plan, other measures concerning the environment are on the shelves of the executive, adds LREM deputy from Yvelines: “Commitments have been made concerning the Citizens' Convention, and Barbara Pompili is currently working on a output text ”.
