The Montpellier Faculty of Medicine (Hérault) celebrates its 800th anniversary. It is the oldest still in operation in the world. Many events take place in the Hérault capital, until the end of the year, to celebrate this anniversary.
Until September 20, curious people will notably have an appointment on the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade, for an outdoor exhibition on "the great figures of medicine", which traces the history of medicine in Montpellier since the edict of Guilhem VIII on the freedom of education, until the installation in the new campus.
