Fifteen days after the death of a 29-year-old man, on Monday August 10 near the Trois-Cocus metro station, a new shooting broke out this Monday evening at the same place shortly before 11 p.m. A seriously injured 19-year-old was taken to the rescue service but succumbed to his injuries overnight.
The police, supported by the gendarmerie helicopter, quickly searched the area and chased a car shortly after the shooting. Two suspects, in their twenties and thirties were arrested shortly after in the Mirail district. In the trunk of the vehicle, weapons were reportedly found.
A flagrant crime investigation was opened and entrusted to the regional judicial police service according to the Toulouse public prosecutor, Dominique Alzéari.
On Saturday night, a young man was also injured in the leg by gunfire. This succession of several shootings in recent weeks in this popular district is not new. In recent years, he has been agitated by the settling of scores around drug trafficking.
