A 29-year-old citizen was seriously injured when his vehicle veered off its lane and collided with a metal barrier on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Umm Al Quwain, near Exit 90.
The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at the General Command of Umm Al Quwain Police, Colonel Saeed Obaid bin Aran, said that the operations room received a report at 10:20 am this morning, stating that a vehicle deviated and hit an iron barrier on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards Ras Al Khaimah, and immediately moved Police patrols and national ambulance to the site of the accident, and due to the serious injury of the driver, he was transferred by air ambulance to Sheikh Khalifa Specialized Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. Bin Aran called on road users to adhere to speed limits and use the seat belt for the driver and passengers and not to be distracted by anything other than the road.
