Unsurprisingly, the American president gathered the necessary votes on the first day of the Republican convention which opened in Charlotte, North Carolina. Four more years  " chant the delegates gathered in Charlotte. If you really want to drive them crazy, say twelve more years  ," says the president before attacking once again the postal ballot implemented in the majority of states to prevent the spread of the virus.

What they are doing is using the Covid to steal the elections, " he continues. With these 80 million postal votes they are working on we have to be very careful because we have to win, it is the most important ballot in the history of our country.  "

Donald Trump is breaking with tradition and will speak each day of the convention before his final speech expected Thursday. The party does not intend to adopt a formal program for this second term, but the speakers will focus on law and order, defense of the police, the carrying of arms, and tax cuts. They will also try to demonize their opponents. Donald Trump assured that the country would sink into chaos if Joe Biden acceded to the White House.
