The Minister of Health and Community Protection, Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais, made a phone call, Monday, with Israeli Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, during which they discussed bilateral cooperation tracks in the fields of health and scientific research.

Al Owais and Edelstein discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the medical field as well as the pharmaceutical industries, medical research, and frameworks for joint cooperation in combating the Covid 19 (Corona) pandemic.

The two sides discussed, during the phone call, future projects for scientific and medical partnership, especially in the field of experiments related to finding a vaccine or drug for the virus, in addition to exchanging visits between delegations.

Al-Owais said: "In light of the circumstances imposed by the new Corona virus pandemic on the countries of the world, concerted efforts must be made in the field of medical research that will benefit humanity." He welcomed bilateral cooperation in this field for the benefit of both countries and humanity as a whole.
