The Tower Bridge, the famous articulated bridge located in the middle of London (United Kingdom), suffered a breakdown this Saturday afternoon. The iconic monument got stuck in a high position.
Both parts of the bridge had just opened to allow a boat to pass on the Thames when "technical problems" prevented the return to its original position.
Even Tower Bridge has given up on 2020.

800 openings per year
The monument had to be closed to traffic for several hours, starting at 5 p.m. local time, police said. The blackout has caused huge traffic jams in the British capital.
The bridge was reopened to pedestrians an hour later, but cars still had to wait several hours to cross it again. Built between 1886 and 1894, this huge structure lifts around 800 times a year to allow navigation on the Thames.
