- Crisis Concha Andreu dismisses the Minister of Education who has 77 million in a Sicav and the Executive spokesman
Intense August politically in La Rioja. The government is experiencing its second government crisis in less than a month. The president of the Community, Concha Andreu, has decided to dispense with the services of the counselors of Public Governance, Francisco Ocón, and Social Services, Ana Santos. Ocón, in addition to being a member of the Executive, is secretary general of the PSOE in this community and a spokesperson in Parliament.
This government crisis has been anticipating in La Rioja since the end of July, the beginning of August. A first installment took place on August 3, when Andreu dismissed two members of his team: the Minister of Education who has 77 million in a Sicav and the spokesman for the Executive. Already then, the lights pointed to Ocón. Andreu postponed his dismissal until now. With this decision, a kind of bicephaly in the community is ended, where Andreu held the command of the Executive and Ocón that of the party.
In a public appearance, Andreu has justified this new government crisis in the fact that "citizens would not understand that those of us who bear public responsibilities do not focus on seeking and adopting the best solutions."
