Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the normalization agreement with the UAE is not linked to acceptance of its armament agreement, indicating that this agreement opens a new era in the region, while Iran stated that the UAE bears responsibility for any threat to the region due to Israel.

In a press conference he held with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu said that normalization with the UAE opens a new era in the region, and we will soon hear good news in this field.

Netanyahu stressed that normalization is not linked to acceptance of the UAE armament agreement, stressing that Washington promised to guarantee Israel's supremacy.

For his part, Secretary Pompeo said that Washington is committed to preserving the Israeli military superiority in the region, indicating that Iran will not obtain a nuclear weapon and we will seek all means to ensure that.

Pompeo had held talks with Netanyahu in Israel, which he arrived today at the start of a tour that includes the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan, and aims to expand the circle of normalizing relations between Tel Aviv and Arab countries after the Emirates, in addition to discussing the Iranian file.

The Yediot Aharonot newspaper website stated that Pompeo would change his visit program and decide to take off directly from Tel Aviv to Khartoum to reinforce the manifestations of normalization between Israel and Arab countries. He expressed his "hope" for the normalization of their relations with Tel Aviv.

Israeli sources indicated that the US administration was in contact to arrange a meeting between Netanyahu and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, before signing an agreement to normalize relations between their countries in Washington next month.

Jared Kushner, advisor to the US President, said that his upcoming visit to the Middle East will aim to consolidate the Emirati-Israeli normalization agreement, adding that several countries in the region are looking to take advantage of the commercial and economic opportunities provided by the agreement.

In an interview with CNN, Kushner added that the agreement will support efforts to counter extremism in the region.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Zadeh said that the UAE bears responsibility for any threat to the region due to Israel, and that Abu Dhabi should bear the repercussions.

Zadeh described the Emirati normalization with Israel as a strategic mistake, saying that Israel is unable to guarantee its security and will not be able to provide security to the rest of the countries. Zadeh stressed that Iran will not be negligent in ensuring its security and the security of the region.
