Today begins the introductory week at Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH. But like other educations, a lot will happen at a distance. The BTH students started directly with their appeal via a link.

- This is the first time I am involved in this type of introductory day. It's mixed feelings. I'm glad we can do it, at the same time it's very sad that we are not allowed to meet them for real, says principal Mats Viberg.

Some moments on campus

Due to the current corona pandemic, BTH will have mixed activities during the autumn term, ie studies both on campus and digitally.

- Now we have to endure maybe another whole year, then we can not continue in the same way. So we will be open on campus so that everyone will have something to do there, says Mats Viberg.

Is it possible to maintain the quality of education when it takes place digitally to such an extent?

- I think so. Our image in the spring was that we did not lose much of the quality. We had to work a little extra to adjust, but it is clear that some things can not be done with good quality at a distance and it is above all those we now move into campus.
