Several different skating sports will be practiced in the hall, where there is, among other things, a 250 meter long skating rink.
- Gubbängshallen will have a significant effect on ice skating in the entire Stockholm region. Ice sports have a shortage of available training time and therefore this modern facility is especially long-awaited, says Dennis Wedin (M) who is a real estate councilor in Stockholm.
When everything is ready, Gubbängen's sports ground will have two full-size bandy courts, as there is a combined art and artificial turf outdoors next to the facility.
- Now both the bandy and the long-distance skate get a much-needed push in the right direction. We are also looking at opening up to riding for the public. We will return to this this autumn, says Karin Ernlund (C) who is a sports citizen council in Stockholm.
