Paris SG has requested the postponement of its resumption of Ligue 1 match, scheduled for Saturday in Lens, a source close to the matter told AFP on Monday, confirming information from the Téléfoot channel.

Returning Monday from Lisbon, the Parisian players are expected at the Bollaert-Delelis stadium just six days after their Champions League final lost against Bayern Munich (1-0).

This tight schedule is at the origin of the demand of the capital club, which is now in the hands of the Professional Football League (LFP).

Contacted by AFP, the body had not reacted in the evening.

Ligue 1 resumed on Friday, while PSG and Lyon played in the “Final 8” of C1 in Portugal. The two teams have already benefited from a reorganization of their program, the match of the 1st day of the Parisians, against Metz, having been postponed to September 16.

If his request is accepted, the reigning French champion would resume on September 13 against Marseille at the Parc des Princes, after two weeks of international break.

For the promoted Lens, it would then be necessary to wait until September 19, and the reception of Bordeaux, to tread again the lawn of Bollaert, in Ligue 1.
