Dubai Criminal Court condemns a cook who stole valuables from a famous football player and threw them in the trash

The Dubai Criminal Court ruled, six months in prison and a fine of 650,000 dirhams, and deportation against an Asian cook who stole two hours and a bracelet from the house of a famous player in the UAE national team and the UAE league, and the value of the stolen items was estimated at 700,000 dirhams, and the accused denied committing the crime at first, but then admitted it. Pointing out that he stole a small safe containing valuables, and was unable to open it, so he threw it as it was in the garbage bin outside the house.

The victim, a famous football player, said in the investigations of the Dubai Public Prosecution that the accused works for him in the house as a cook, and manages various purposes, such as washing and arranging clothes, pointing out that he was surprised by the disappearance of valuable movables, consisting of two hours, one of which costs 420 thousand A dirham, "RM" model, and a hand bracelet, were inside a small safe in the wardrobe, indicating that the accused was suspected, as he was the only one authorized to enter the bedroom.

The player added that he asked the accused to return the safe and the contents, without the need to inform the police, so the latter asked him for a period to return it, but he did not, pointing out that he later learned that the fingerprints of the accused matched the effects raised from the location of the treasury.

For his part, a witness from the Dubai police said in the investigations of the Public Prosecution, that as soon as a report was received from the victim, doubts arose about the accused, and he was summoned to write his statements, then he denied the accusation, deciding that he was not competent to enter the victim's bedroom, as he was the cook of the house, but by comparison The fingerprints in the lower part of the wardrobe, it was confirmed that his fingerprint was there, although it is not normal for him to reach this place when he opens the wardrobe.

He added that, facing the accused with evidence, he confessed his crime, admitting that he had seized the small safe, but he could not open it, so he threw it in the external garbage container of the house as it is.
