A difficult weekend for Vital Kamerhe in the DRC. This is the ninth time that his request has not been accepted. His lawyers invoke the deterioration of his state of health to justify their request. “  The judges declared themselves not seized of the request for provisional release. They went to draw the reason for their non-referral from an ordinary hearing that had nothing to do with the Council Chamber. We will continue to ask, even a thousand times, for provisional release,  ”explains Me Jean Marie Kabengela, one of Vital Kamerhe's lawyers.

Felix Tshisekedi's former chief of staff was evacuated to Nganda medical center over the weekend. I could not see him because his state of illness actually justified his evacuation to a place where he must undergo appropriate care," continues his lawyer. Therefore, his state of health has worsened whereas since yesterday (Saturday August 22), he should have benefited from provisional release to follow medical care according to the certificates of doctors who had established that he was in serious pain  ”.

The next hearing is set for September 18.
