From our correspondent in Berlin,

It was the most complete euphoria this Sunday. Euphoria visible in these statements. FC Bayern goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer spoke of a '  dream  ', adding that '  it has never been so great playing for this team  '.

Forward Thomas Müller spoke of "madness from A to Z", right-back Joshua Kimmich of "  the most important day of his career  ". “  Winning such a title with his brothers is the pinnacle. We made a few mistakes tonight but we felt we were invincible,  ”he said.

We deserved to win in view of the second half  ," reacted team coach Hans Flick. His former boss, Joachim Löw, the coach of the German national team said that "  FC Bayern is the brilliant representative of German football in Europe  ".

Munich celebrates even under covid-19

The retransmissions of the final in stadiums or fan zones were prohibited to respect the precautionary measures related to covid-19. The cafes in downtown Munich, on the other hand, were well attended. An open-air cinema hosted Bayern Munich supporters.

Bavarian skin pants and Bayern jersey were required. When Coman's goal was scored in the 59th minute, barrier gestures were forgotten and colleagues there saw masks fly off. After the final whistle, we celebrated in downtown Munich, on foot or by car with Bayern flags.
