Japanese Prime Minister Abe visited Keio University Hospital in Tokyo again today (24th), when Japanese Prime Ministers set a new record for consecutive days in office.

This hospital is where Prime Minister Abe stayed for seven and a half hours for a medical examination on the 17th.

A government official explained, "This time, to hear the results of the examination," Yomiuri said.

Prime Minister Abe is undergoing medical checkups twice a year at Keio University Hospital, and the checkup on the 17th was carried out without prior notice in two months after the checkup on June 13th, raising questions over Prime Minister Abe's health.

Abe's health concerns began to be raised in June, when he was reluctant to hold an official press conference. Earlier this month, some media reported that Prime Minister Abe vomited blood in his office on July 6th.

Prime Minister Abe reached 2,799 consecutive days in office today, exceeding the previous record for former Prime Minister Eisaku Sato of 2,798 days.
