The PP has registered in the Congress of Deputies the request for the creation of an investigation commission on the alleged illegal financing of United We Can. The proposal is dated August 21 and is signed by Cuca Gamarra, the new parliamentary spokesperson for the popular , in what is his first initiative in office.

Specifically, the popular ones want the Lower House to investigate the "concurrence of political responsibilities for the alleged irregular financing of United We Can." In the object of the same, they want to analyze "if they have provided opaque funds with irregular donations, if irregular contract awards have been made or other irregular financing channels have been used."

Currently, Podemos accounts are in focus in two ways. This week the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Accounts appreciates "the possible existence of suggestive indications of criminal responsibility" and, specifically, points out possible crimes of "electoral fraud" and another of "falsification in commercial document".

Likewise, Podemos is already accused as a legal person in a case investigating alleged accounting irregularities. This was ruled by the instructor of the Court of Instruction number 42 of Madrid , Juan José Escalonilla, after a complaint filed by the former coordinator of the Podemos legal team, José Manuel Calvente.

The PP considers that legal cases "will be resolved, but political responsibilities must be settled in the area that our Constitution designed: the Cortes Generales ." The popular believe that the investigation in parliamentary headquarters "of the alleged illegal financing of United We can help limit the pernicious effects that the facts now known are having on the institutional image of Spain and would allow limiting the political responsibilities that may have been incurred ".

At the time, in the midst of the scandal over the so-called Dina case , Pablo Iglesias was in favor of launching an investigative commission, but on the espionage "that in his opinion what he calls police and media sewers to his ex adviser Dina Bousselham.
